Persepolis' Ali Alipour has been chosen as last week's Fans' Asian Player of the Week, following his impressive performance in his team's 3-0 win over FC Nasaf in the AFC Champions League opening matchday fixture.
He scored a brace as they smashed their opponents on the back of a confident performance.
He fired a fierce shot into the top corner from inside the box after latching on to Sadegh Moharrami's pass in the 66th minute. Five minutes later, he drove Mohammad Ansari's low square pass inside the box into the goal to ensure Persepolis' dominance in the match reflected in the scoreline.
Also in the fray for the honour were Melbourne Victory's Leroy George and Tianjin Quanjian's Mi Haolun - both of whom were impressive in the games this past week.
The fans made their voice count as Ali Alipour received 50% of the votes while George was backed by 33% of the voters. Haolun got 17% votes.
