FAB-5 Football Challenge: 'I dream to play for Nigeria' - Alice Diles

The shot-stopper helped her team to clinch the maiden female football competition with her heroics

Lagos State Model Primary School goalkeeper Alice Diles disclosed that her dream is to play for Nigeria after guiding her school to FAB-5 Football Challenge triumph.

After settling for a goalless draw, Lagos Model Primary School saw off Baptist Girls Primary School via penalty shootout.

Diles saved her team from defeat with her brilliant save as it ended 3-2 at the Campos Mini Stadium on Saturday.

And the 10-year-old who was named the female Rising Star of the tournament is ambitious to turn out for with the Super Falcons later in the future.

"I feel great to have helped my school. I like it, we're happy," Diles told Goal.

"I know I can do it, I was not afraid during the [penalty] shootout.

"I dream to play for Nigeria. I want to be the best goalkeeper and player in the world when I grow up."
