EXTRA TIME: Twitter reacts as Thulani Serero seals Vitesse switch

Serero was some time back linked with a possible move back to South Africa, but he opted to remain in Europe. Here's how Twitter reacted to the news

Bafana Bafana midfielder Thulani Serero on Wednesday completed a surprise move to Vitesse Arnhem. 

The 27-year-old will leave Ajax Amsterdam as a free agent on June 30, 2017 to start a new life at Vitesse after successfully passing his medicals.

The utility player was lauded on Twitter for opting to join Vitesse instead of Deportivo La Coruna, who were also keen on his services.

Could it be because Vitesse has a direct link to Chelsea? At least one fan thinks so...

Serero is not forgotten in South Africa, and some of his fans here at home congratulated him following the completion of the deal.
