Mutiu Adepoju has evoked memories of 1998 Fifa World Cup in France as part of his Throwback Thursday.
In Nigeria’s second appearance at the quadrennial showpiece, Adepoju played three games out of four and inspired Nigeria to a 3-2 comeback win over Spain.
The team managed by Bora Milutinovic featured most of the 1994 squad members but they failed to surpass their maiden World Cup performance after conceding a 4-1 loss to Denmark in the knockout stage.

However, as the west African country prepare for her sixth appearance in the global, the former Real Madrid and Real Sociedad midfielder has made a strong commitment to don the Super Eagles jersey even in a second world.
