Juventus’ Medhi Benatia, Schalke 04’s Amine Harit, Caen’s Youssef Bennasser and Real Madrid defender Achraf Hakimi have congratulated Morocco’s home-based team for winning the 2018 African Nations Championship on Sunday.
The Atlas Lions thrashed Nigeria 4-0 at the Stade Mohamed V in Casablanca, thanks to a brace from Zakaria Hadraf and goals from Walid El Karti and Ayoub El Kaabi.
The win against the west African country capped Morocco's laudable diaplays throughout the tournament, and the African stars have joined the country in cheering the team for their the victory on home soil.
“Bravo for this trophy, congratulations you deserve it! A thought to the Moroccan football schools that formed these players. Once again we see that Moroccan football is doing well,” Benatia tweeted.
