Former Hearts of Oak star Mohammed Polo has played down the importance of the club's recent changes to their badge, explaining that their focus should rather be somewhere else.
On Tuesday, the Phobians announced the introduction of a new emblem, the first of a series of activities in line with marking their 107th anniversary.
A statement said the badge change follows moves by "many of the great football clubs around the world including the likes of Arsenal, Juventus, Liverpool and Manchester City".
“What Hearts of Oak need at this moment is not about changing logos but to concentrate on building the structures that will sustain the team in the long-term," Polo, a member of Ghana's victorious 1978 Africa Cup of Nations winning team, told Metro FM.
“Hearts of Oak need to put proper structures in place and stop talking about theories.

“In times past, players were willing to join Hearts of Oak because of the love they had for the team, but now they need something extra to join the team.
“Hearts management should see football as a business and put the proper structures in place.
“Hearts should stop living in the past and move with the modern trends of management like clubs such as Dreams FC and Inter Allies are doing."
Polo, known as the Dribbling Magician in his heyday, knows Hearts too well as aside from playing for the club, he also coached the Phobians between 2013 and 2014.
The Accra-based side have not won a major title since winning the Ghana Premier League in 2009.
