The defender was a crucial member of the Super Eagles B team that finished second at the 2017 Wafu Cup of Nations in Ghana but was left out of the squad for the ongoing LMC Super 6 tournament, which serves as a build-up to next year's CHAN.
“Everything about CHAN is behind me. I am focusing on my career. I want to be fully concentrated on my club,” Ariwachukwu told Goal.
“I still want to put it on record that I am among those that qualified Nigeria for the CHAN. It cannot be disputed at all."
Ariwachukwu also defended Akwa United's slow start to the invitational tournament where they forced MFM to a draw despite being the best of the sides.
“I want to state that we have played too many games and it is telling on us. We have taken part in two pre-season tournaments before this one and we have played a game every day since last week.
“I believe our fans we get to see the best of us very soon after we might have recovered from the fatigue of recent matches,” he concluded.
