The Botweako Mba's top hierarchy is demanding compensation from the GFA following the postponement of their league game

Elmina Sharks communication director Richmond Arthur has furiously reacted to the postponement of their Ghana Premier League matchday three fixture against Berekum Chelsea which was earlier slated for March 28 at the Golden City Park.

After travelling about 300km by road from Elmina to Berekum on Monday, it was later communicated to them that the venue had been booked by the Church of Pentecost for their annual Easter convention which begins on March 28 to March 31, pushing the fixture to April 7.

They have officially petitioned the football association for a reimbursement.

"We are very unhappy with the level of communication from the premier league board and Berekum Chelsea. We arrived in Berekum on Monday evening and checked into our hotel only to be told that the game has been called off," Arthur told Goal.

"We left Berekum on Tuesday very disappointed because we travelled almost 300km in order to honour this game.

"The team is currently in Kumasi and will stay here throughout the week since we'll play Wafa on Saturday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium but we've informed the FA to reimburse us since the game couldn't come on as planned.

"I can assure the supporters that this unfortunate incident will not affect the team and we'll surely get good scoreline against them," he added.

Sharks have picked a point from the two games played this season, losing to Medeama on matchday one and sharing the spoils with title holders Aduana Stars.
