Sofapaka captain Hillary Echesa has been ruled out of their Kenyan Premier League match against Muhoroni Youth on Wednesday.
The former Harambee Stars midfielder has been given time off to recover from fatigue according to the club’s physiotherapist, Ambrose Eriko.
Echesa, who has started in all Sofapaka matches, will miss the return leg against Muhoroni Youth and Sofapaka’s first match since he joined the side in June from Chemelil Sugar.
His absence adds to the growing list of absentees in coach Sam Ssimbwa squad having lost goalkeeper George Opiyo (elbow injury), Samuel Mutiria (out with pneumonia), Edmond Kwanya (Illness), Michael Odour (big toe syndrome) and George Maelo, who is out on state duties.
