Bafana Bafana will reportedly face Paraguay in 2018 Nelson Mandela Challenge

It is said that Bafana Bafana will square off with La Albiorroja, but details regarding the match are yet to be announced

Media reports suggest that South Africa are set to face Paraguay in an international friendly.

The clash dubbed the Nelson Mandela Challenge would see Bafana Bafana hosting the South American nation later this month.

According to the Fifa website, the 1996 African champions could meet the side also known as La Albrirroja with the encounter dedicated to one of the world's biggest icons, Nelson Mandela.

The clash is reportedly set for Tuesday, November 20 just after Bafana head coach Stuart Baxter and his men face Nigeria in a crucial 2019 Caf African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier at the iconic FNB Stadium.

Bafana will face off with the Super Eagles on Saturday, November 17 at the 2010 Fifa World Cup host venue as they look to book their spot at next year's Afcon finals which are scheduled to be staged in Cameroon.

The South African Football Association (Safa) is yet to announce details for the annual international friendly.

It is said that Safa will announce the opponent, date and venue on Monday, November 12.

The country's football governing body has called for a press conference at Montecasino in Johannesburg on Monday where Baxter and Safa president Danny Jordaan are expected to address the media.

Moreover, the friendly is expected to honour the life of late former president and national icon, Mandela, who would have been 100 years old this year.
