It's already been a great week for Christian Pulisic.
It was a monumental moment for the youngster, but he and his teammates will have to get focused again quickly. Saturday sees BVB on the road against Hertha BSC and John Brooks, with the Berliners trailing Dortmund by just six points and two places in the table.
For Brooks and company, it's been a rough road. After riding high through the first half of the Bundesliga season, the club has been up and down over the course of 2017. A draw against Bayern Munich was followed by a win against a good Eintracht Frankfurt team and then a loss to a Hamburg club that is fighting relegation.
For Dortmund, a win would give the side a nice gap between itself and the pack chasing Champions League places, while Hertha really could use a positive result to stay in the conversation as a top-four team.
There's another showdown of Americans in the Bundesliga this weekend as well, with Bobby Wood and Hamburg looking to climb out of the relegation zone with a result against Fabian Johnson and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Wood and Hamburg have done well in their fight against the drop in the second half of the season. Their only loss was an 8-0 beating from Bayern, but the club responded with a win over Hertha last week and are level on points with 15th placed Wolfsburg.
Also in the Bundesliga, Timothy Chandler and his Eintracht side have a tough task on their hands this weekend, going on the road to take on Bayern Munich. A trip to face the top team in the Bundesliga couldn't really come at a worse time for the Frankfurt outfit, which is limping into the game having taken four league losses in a row.
The club still sits just six points back of a Champions League place, but the recent slump will have to be righted if Chandler's side is to have any real chance at closing that gap.
In Scotland, Emerson Hyndman will get his first taste of one of the world's fiercest rivalries.
To be clear, there's little riding on this installment of the Old Firm derby. Celtic has the league title wrapped up and Rangers are fighting to stay in third, but this is always a special game and one to keep an eye on.
