Al-Nassr and Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly split over contract

The 35-year-old midfielder's transfer to the Saudi Arabian side seems to have hit a brick wall

Former Tottenham Hotspurs midfielder Hossam Ghaly who was linked to a move to Saudi Pro League team, Al-Nassr FC, might not be getting his move.

The Egyptian international who currently plies his trade with Al-Ahly seemed to be on his way out. But Saudi newspaper Al Watan has recently revealed that the Arabian side Al-Nassr has not yet reached an agreement with the Egyptian international due to a contract dispute.

Ghaly, who is now 35, was stipulated to receive half of the contract value after signing for the club. However, Al-Nassr offered only 30% of the transaction with the remaining to be paid in instalments.

Egyptian reports have suggested that Ghaly had a talk with the officials of his current club Al-Ahly. The club asked the player to postpone discussing the transfer deal until after their encounter against Smouha in the Egypt Cup semi-final.
