Agent: David Zulu no longer belongs to Kaizer Chiefs

Goal can exclusively reveal that David Zulu will not be returning to Kaizer Chiefs as he's no longer contracted to them.

Zulu's agent, Abbie Rasimphi of Liberate Resources Sports Management, confirmed that Zulu is currently a free agent now that his contract with Amakhosi has expired.

The 31-year-old striker spent last season on loan at Chippa United, but the Port Elizabeth-based club decided against offering him a permanent deal.

"Zulu will not be returning to Chiefs. His contract with them expired at the end of June, so was the loan deal with Chippa United," Rasimphi told Goal

"So, he's a free agent. He can join a team of his choice," he concluded.

The former Black Leopards frontman found the going tough in the PSL, and despite making a handful of appearances at Chiefs, he was loaned out to the Chilli Boys at the beginning of 2016.

Contrary to initial media reports, Zulu signed a three-year deal with the Glamour Boys in October 2014 and not a four-year deal.
