AFC Leopards defeated Ulinzi Stars 2-1 in a pre-season match played at Hope Center Kawangware on Saturday.

Despite a good display by the former champions, one thing disturbed the fans; the absence of coach Nikola Kavazovic. Earlier on, Goal.com had reported that the Serbian skipped the match intentionally following a misunderstanding between him and the management.

“The coach failed to agree on a few things by the management and he has threatened to leave if they are not done. He skipped the match against the soldiers intentionally to show how serious he is.”

However, the coach has gone to clarify, via his twitter handle, the reason behind him missing the game that was overseen by Tom Juma. “Sorry to be absent for a while for familly matters. Be sure my assistant will take a good care of the team meanwhile in day by day communication.”

AFC Leopards has so far defeated premier league rivals Posta Rangers, KCB and Ulinzi Stars.
