Rasaq Adegbite and Yisa Anifowoshe have affirmed that they are working harder with the rest of their teammates to ensure that Primeiro de Agostoqualify for the final of the Caf Champions League at the expense of Esperance of Tunisia.
Ahead of the semi-final first leg game in Luanda next week Tuesday, Adegbite said he and his teammates are eager to take Primeiro de Agosto the pinnacle of African football and that Esperance can’t stand in their way of success.
“We have said at the beginning of the season when we joined them that we are bent on leading this team to success. Primeiro de Agosto are yet to qualify for the final of the CAF Champions League and we believe that we can do it this time around,” Adegbite told Goal.
“We have won the league title and will like to add the Caf Champions League crown to it. We are doing our best to ensure that we prepare very hard. We have been studying their match tapes with a view to knowing their weaknesses and strength before the first leg.
“We shall be ready for Esperance when they visit us next week. It is our resolve to put Primeiro de Agosto name among the best clubs in Africa this season.”
“We are at the crucial stages of the competition and qualifying for the final is what is uppermost to us. We shall do everything possible to realize our ambition,” said Anifowoshe.
“We have been preparing so hard and we know that God will bless our effort. It will be a special moment for me for us to qualify for the final of the CAF Champions League. We shall make it possible.”
