Commentary

PSG claim a vital three points, then, as they prepare to travel to England to tackle Manchester City. With the Ligue 1 title and a Champions League final place still at stake, PSG's next few games look set to define their season. That's all for now. Goodbye!
PSG's win takes them back to the top of Ligue 1 for the time being. Lille host Nice later this weekend and need to win to regain their place at the summit. This title race is looking awfully tight. Lens are still fifth. Their unbeaten run may be over but they've got more than enough about them to stay there.
PSG earn a hard-fought victory over a tough Lens side thanks to Marquinhos' headed goal. Lens gave PSG as good as they got, especially in the second half, only to switch off and allow the PSG captain to score from a corner. After that, Lens pulled a goal back and PSG had a goal disallowed but PSG managed to grind out the result anyway.
90' + 5' FULL-TIME: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 2-1 LENS
90' + 5' Verratti rampages forward for PSG one more time but fouls Fortes in the process. The Italian is quizzical but it doesn't matter. PSG have got the win!
M. Verratti
Yellow Card
PSG
90' + 5' Verratti does see a card, but it's not for Mauricio. It's for the PSG player for speaking out of turn.
90' + 4' Verratti wins a free-kick in Lens' half as Mauricio challenges him unfairly. PSG get the free-kick but Verratti wants to see a card.
M. Kean
J. Draxler
PSG
90' + 2' Draxler also trots off. Kean gets a late runout.
Rafinha
Neymar
PSG
90' + 2' That's Neymar's last act of the game for PSG. Rafinha takes his place for the last few minutes but PSG look to be home and dry now.
Marquinhos
Yellow Card
PSG
90' + 1' Marquinhos is shown a yellow card for giving the referee too large a piece of his mind about that decision.
90' PSG want a penalty as Neymar jinks into the box and goes down under Clauss' challenge. The referee isn't interested. Besides, Clauss first made contact outside the penalty area and Neymar's momentum carried him into it. The referee gives Neymar the benefit of the doubt and doesn't book him for diving.
T. Kehrer
Yellow Card
PSG
89' Kehrer's booked for a poor challenge on Fofana. It's getting tense as we enter injury-time. There'll be four minutes of it.
87' Sotoca gets fouled by Neymar who's tracking back down Lens' right. Mauricio's free-kick isn't the greatest though and PSG get it away.
86' Lens might take some heart from that decision. They've still got time to test PSG again. Mauricio has a try from distance from Clauss' header down but drags his shot wide. Banza gets involved but is also off target.
84' NO GOAL FOR PSG! Yep, Verratti had just strayed offside in the run-up to that goal. PSG's lead stays at one goal for now.
83' PSG think they've sealed the win as Icardi puts the ball in the net from Verratti's cross. The officials are checking whether Verratti was onside...
82' PSG get a corner off Fortes. Lens hold out but they're running out of steam.
C. Jean
C. Michelin
Lens
81' Lens make yet another change to chase the game with PSG managing to lock things down. Jean is on for Michelin.
80' PSG are popping the ball around now, looking to take the sting out of the game. Mauricio gives away a foul by bringing down Neymar in the final third. Kimpembe fires wide from the left of the box.
Ander Herrera
Yellow Card
PSG
78' Herrera picks up a yellow card of his own for an ill-timed sliding tackle.
T. Mauricio
C. Doucouré
Lens
77' Lens substitution. The attacking midfielder Mauricio comes on for Doucoure.
F. Sotoca
Yellow Card
Lens
75' Sotoca was the culprit of that Lens foul, stepping on Pereira's foot before giving the ball away. The referee wisely gave PSG the advantage before brandishing a card.
75' Farinez ventures out of his box to punt away with a PSG player lurking. The referee pulls play back after a Lens foul.
73' PSG are beginning to reassert themselves but Lens still look threatening. It's still all to play for as we enter the final 15 minutes.
71' Draxler's shot ricochets out off the sliding Medina for a PSG corner. This time Lens are able to head it away.
S. Banza
A. Muinga
Lens
69' Kalimuendo's game is also over. The Frenchman's not had the best time in front of goal here. Banza comes on for him.
G. Kakuta
Y. Cahuzac
Lens
69' Lens make a few changes. Kakuta, a Chelsea player once upon a time, replaces Cahuzac.
F. Sotoca
I. Ganago
Lens
69' Lens substitution. Sotoca, a striker, replaces Ganago.
68' After a long wait Neymar steps up to take the free-kick. The Brazilian swings it towards the top right corner but Farinez makes a fantastic save to stop it going in! The Lens goalkeeper can't prevent it falling in front of him but Lens eventually boot it away.
F. Medina
Yellow Card
Lens
66' Medina gets the game's first yellow card for that foul. It's been a combative game but not a dirty one.
65' Medina is penalised for catching Draxler to the right of the D. This is prime Neymar territory.
63' Lens have actually had more shots than PSG now, 12 to PSG's 11. PSG have only had two since half-time. Haise will be frustrated to see his team concede again from a set-piece.
A. Muinga
Assist
Lens
61' Kalimuendo did not intend that assist but he'll get it anyway. Lens aren't dead and buried yet.
I. Ganago
Goal
Lens
61' GOAL! PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 2-1 LENS! Lens halve their deficit straight away! Clauss bombs down the right and reaches the byline. Kalimuendo fluffs an ambitious effort with his back to goal but Ganago is there to bundle it in from close range!
M. Verratti
I. Gueye
PSG
61' Gueye is the next PSG player to make way. Verratti replaces him in the centre of the park.
Ander Herrera
Pablo Sarabia
PSG
60' PSG immediately make some changes with their Champions League game next week in mind. Herrera replaces Sarabia first.
Neymar
Assist
PSG
59' Neymar's corner had just the right amount of bend and dip on it. No one was tracking Marquinhos at all.
Marquinhos
Goal
PSG
59' GOAL! PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 2-0 LENS! PSG can breathe a little now. The hosts force a corner down their right. Neymar's delivery is perfect and Marquinhos arrives late to nod it into the bottom left corner.
58' PSG force a corner down their right after the ball takes a deflection off Gradit. This game's gotten a little scrappier.
56' Doucoure has a pop at goal from just outside the box. Navas drops to his right and keeps it out.
54' Cahuzac brings down Neymar in a promising area for PSG. Neymar curls the free-kick towards goal but can't get it down to worry Farinez.
52' PSG are still finding their footing in this second half. Lens have upped the tempo and have just edged possession since the break.
50' Lens still have plenty of belief as Clauss's high cross reaches Kalimuendo at the far post. The striker slides to hit it first-time and it sails over the crossbar.
48' Michelin's speculative effort from outside the box is blocked. PSG counter and Sarabia rolls a promising ball towards the far post. Gradit slides in to make a fantastic block and cuts it out.
46' Lens get a free-kick as Kimpembe scythes down Kalimuendo to the left of the box. Instead of sending it in high, Clauss rolls it to a team-mate who makes a total hash of the second ball.
46' The second half gets under way. No changes at half-time.
Lens were second-best in that first half but they'll believe they can score here. Haise's side have scored and conceded at least one goal in each of their last 10 Ligue 1 games, and are managing to get shots away. PSG need at least another goal to kill this game off.
Neymar's cool finish is the difference between these two sides at the break. PSG's main man may have benefited from Medina's mistake but he's still been the best player on the pitch so far with PSG in control. Lens have had their chances, most notably through Kalimuendo who forced Navas to save at his near post.
45' + 1' Neymar approaches the penalty area, cuts onto his right foot and deftly dinks a cross towards Sarabia at the far post. Sarabia can't control it and Lens get a goal kick. That's all for now.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 1-0 LENS
45' Fofana dribbles into the left of the box and lashes an effort into the side netting. There'll be one additional minute in this half.
44' Lens are perking up a bit as we approach the half-time break. Michelin fancies his chances from range and fires high and wide to the right.
42' Chance for Lens! Kalimuendo wriggles into the left of the box and shoots low at the near post. Navas keeps it out with his legs. It rebounds to Clauss whose piledriver goes over the crossbar.
41' Lens survive the corner as Diallo nods wide and Gueye's follow-up is blocked. PSG are looking dominant.
39' Doucoure's cross from the right is good but can't find a Lens player. Up the other end, Sarabia fires low at Farinez from the centre of the box from Neymar's header down. It looks a certain goal but Farinez manages to tip it out for a PSG corner.
37' Gradit hands PSG a free-kick. PSG are establishing more control as we approach half-time.
35' Fofana looks to slide Ganago into the penalty area but the throughball's got too much power on it for the striker to reach.
J. Draxler
Assist
PSG
33' Draxler's quick thinking there created the goal but Medina should have just got rid of the ball. He didn't and Lens have paid the price.
Neymar
Goal
PSG
33' GOAL! PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN 1-0 LENS! Neymar gives PSG the lead! Medina dawdles with the ball near his own area and promptly loses it. Neymar races onto Draxler's quick pass and finishes coolly past Farinez.
32' Neymar gets a talking-to after catching Gradit in the face while trying to hold him off. PSG's talisman is asserting his influence.
30' Doucoure reaches the edge of the box and blasts an effort well wide of the right-hand post. Lens are working hard but they haven't given Navas a save to make yet.
28' Clauss looks for Ganago who's offside. Meanwhile, Neymar's trickery is causing Lens issues. Fortes closes the Brazilian down near the corner flag. Neymar crosses and Fortes catches him on the follow-through. It's nothing major.
26' Icardi latches onto a knockdown in Lens' penalty area but the Argentine striker loses his footing and skies the shot.
24' Lens go straight upfield and force a corner as Kehrer blocks Kalimuendo's shot. PSG see it out but they're not finding things easy.
23' PSG get a free-kick of their own down their right as Michelin trips Kehrer. Neymar whips it in and Pereira nods at goal. Farinez tips it aside and Lens clear.
21' Icardi's caught offside from Neymar's throughball. Lens have more than held their own in these opening 20 minutes.
T. Kehrer
C. Dagba
PSG
19' Here's that enforced change for PSG. Kehrer replaces the stricken Dagba at right-back.
19' It looks like Dagba won't be able to shake off the blow he took earlier. He'll have to be replaced.
18' Chance for Lens! Clauss swings the free-kick right-footed into a sweet area. It bounces in front of Navas and just wide of the post. Had a Lens head touched that, it would have been a goal.
17' Ganago holds up the ball well for Lens and wins a free-kick to the left of the box as Kimpembe catches the striker's trailing leg. Clauss is standing over it.
16' Neymar holds off the challenge of Cahuzac to drift inside from the left. The Brazilian can't create anything for PSG though as Lens get a throw on the opposite side.
14' Lens go on the attack but the offside flag goes up against Ganago. PSG have had 71 per cent of possession so far.
13' Icardi shoots from outside the box but is off target. Dagba goes off temporarily to receive treatment after taking a whack in the face.
11' Lens defend deep, inviting PSG to come onto them. Icardi swings a cross into the box but it's too close to Farinez who claims it.
9' Neymar tries to race onto a throughball down the left but is unable to keep it in play. Lens get the goal kick.
7' Neymar's corner doesn't beat the first man. PSG keep hold of the ball though as you suspect they will for most of this game.
6' It's been a lively start to the game. Neymar bursts down the left to reach the byline and fizzes low towards the near post. Sarabia shoots but it's blocked by Michelin. It'll be another PSG corner.
5' PSG win their first corner of the game down their right as Fortes blocks Neymar's cross from the right. Lens see the corner away.
4' Ganago fires over from range as PSG don't convincingly clear the corner. Lens look confident. They have no reason not to be.
3' Lens go up the other end and force a corner off Kimpembe. PSG see it away.
1' PSG get a shot on target straight away as Gueye slids an effort towards goal from outside the box. Farinez drops low to save and catch it.
1' And we're off!
The two teams are out on the pitch in Paris. PSG are strangely in their away kit while Lens are in their white third kit.
The last time these teams met in Ligue 1 was last September when Lens beat PSG 1-0 at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis. History spells trouble for PSG: they've won just two of their last 10 Ligue 1 home games against Lens, who are unbeaten in eight on the road. PSG have also lost three of their last four Ligue 1 games here. PSG might need to dig deep.
PSG shuffle their pack after losing 2-1 here to Manchester City a few days ago, making six changes. The big news is that Kylian Mbappe is out with a calf injury. Icardi starts up front. There are also six changes to Lens from their 2-1 win over Nimes last time out. Three of those changes are due to suspension.

LENS (3-5-2): Wuilker Farinez; Jonathan Gradit, Facundo Medina, Steven Fortes; Jonathan Clauss, Yannick Cahuzac (c), Cheick Oumar Doucoure, Seko Fofana, Clement Michelin; Arnaud Kalimuendo Muinga, Ignatius Ganago.
SUBS: Ander Herrera, Angel Di Maria, Thilo Kehrer, Sergio Rico, Mitchel Bakker, Rafinha, Layvin Kurzawa, Marco Verratti, Moise Kean.
PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN (4-3-3): Keylor Navas; Colin Dagba, Marquinhos (c), Presnel Kimpembe, Abdou Diallo; Idrissa Gueye, Danilo Pereira, Julian Draxler; Pablo Sarabia, Mauro Icardi, Neymar.
Unfortunately for PSG, Lens look like they will be awkward opponents. Franck Haise's fifth-placed side are having a phenomenal season and are unbeaten in their last 13 Ligue 1 games, the league's longest ongoing run and the joint-longest by a newly promoted side this century. With Europe still a dream for them, the team from Pas-de-Calais would love to derail PSG's title defence.
Ligue 1's intriguing three-way title race continues and PSG are still very much in the mix. The defending champions are just one point behind leaders Lille after winning their last three league games, and are looking to make it four in a row for the first time under Mauricio Pochettino. With just four games to go and a crucial Champions League semi-final second leg against Manchester City coming up next week, they can't afford any more slip-ups.
