Commentary

Thanks for joining our commentary this afternoon. Until next time, goodbye.
Brighton are next in action after the international break against Southampton in the Premier League on March 30 at the Amex Stadium, while Millwall are on the road against Leeds United on the same day in the Championship.
Brighton advance to the semi-finals of the FA Cup for the first time since the 1982/83 campaign thanks to a win over Millwall on penalties. The Seagulls looked down and out after goals from Alex Pearce and Aiden O'Brien had handed the home side a 2-0 lead. However, Jurgen Locadia and Solly March produced a comeback at the death to send the game to extra-time. Neither side could force the issue in the additional periods, leaving the tie down to a test of character from 12 yards. Glenn Murray failed with the first kick, but Brighton were perfect after that, while Mahlon Romeo and Jake Cooper missed their penalties to send Chris Hughton's men through to the last four.

There is yet more drama to come at The Den as the game goes to penalties. Millwall will have to play on without Shane Ferguson, who was rightfully dismissed for a stamp on the back of Lewis Dunk's leg. Brighton then saw a goal disallowed for offside, although Martin Montoya, who was the guilty part was in line with the last Millwall defender. The officiating has been inconsistent to say the least this afternoon.
120' + 2' END OF EXTRA-TIME: MILLWALL 2-2 BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
120' + 1' DISALLOWED GOAL! Locadia turns the ball home from Montoya's cross, but the assistant referee's flag was raised for offside against the full-back. However, replays show that he was in line with the last Millwall defender.

Incredible scenes at the death as David Martin only needed to catch the ball to end the game. However, he missed it and allowed Solly March's free-kick to find the top corner. Millwall were on their way to Wembley for the semi-finals at 2-0 up, but Brighton have hit back, scoring twice in the dying minutes to send the game to extra-time.

48' Kayal combines with Murray in the final third to advance into the left inside channel. The former fires a low ball across the face of goal, but Martin gathers with ease.
46' We're back underway at The Den.
Millwall have been combative in their approach and prevented Brighton from playing their natural game for the majority of the first half. However, the home side cannot afford to rest on their laurels and need to provide support for Gregory in the final third to force the issue.
It's all square at the break in the FA Cup quarter-final clash between Millwall and Brighton and Hove Albion. It has been a half of few chances, although the best opportunity fell for the visitors when Beram Kayal headed wide of the post from close range. Lee Gregory has had a couple of opportunities for the home side, but he has cleared the bar with both efforts. The Seagulls could have been awarded a penalty before the break when Jake Cooper held Shane Duffy at a corner, but the referee was not in a giving mood, leaving the game scoreless at the break.

1' We're underway at The Den.
Brighton have lost none of their last six visits to The Den against Millwall, all in league competition between 2009 and 2015 (W3 D3 L0).
Brighton beat Crystal Palace on the road in their last outing in the Premier League at Selhurst Park. Yves Bissouma is suspended, which sees Kayal come into the midfield to replace the midfielder.
Millwall beat Birmingham 2-0 last time out in the Championship courtesy of a brace from Ben Thompson. However, he is cup-tied for the contest, having played for Portsmouth in the earlier rounds of the competition. Ben Marshall also misses out for the same reason. Williams and O'Brien come into the fold to replace the duo.
SUBS: Bruno, Gaetan Bong, Jurgen Locadia, Jose Izqueirdo, Solly March, David Button, Dan Burn.
BRIGHTON (4-3-3): Mat Ryan; Martin Montoya, Shane Duffy, Lewis Dunk, Bernardo; Beram Kayal, Dale Stephens, Davy Propper; Anthony Knockaert. Glenn Murray, Alireza Jahanbakhsh.

Brighton have progressed to the last eight for the second year on the bounce. Last season they were beaten 2-0 by Manchester United, but the contest against Millwall offers them a real chance to progress to the semi-finals. The Seagulls have last advanced to the final four in the 1982/83 campaign when they were beaten finalists by United, suffering a loss on a replay at Wembley Stadium after drawing the first match 2-2. This term Brighton have beaten Bournemouth, West Brom and Derby, and although Millwall have struggled for form of late, it will be a challenge for the Premier League outfit.
Millwall have developed a healthy habit of making deep surges into the later rounds of the FA Cup. They reached the final of the competition in the 2003/04 campaign before advancing to the semi-finals in the 2012/13 season. They also progressed to the last eight two years, highlighting their success despite remaining in the second and third tiers of English football. The Lions have defeated Hull City, Everton and AFC Wimbledon to reach this stage and will be eyeing their second Premier League scalp this term.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the FA Cup quarter-final clash between Millwall and Brighton and Hove Albion at The Den.
