Chelsea have won the FA Cup for the eighth time in their history. Eden Hazard's strike from the penalty spot was enough to secure the victory over Manchester United after the Belgian was brought down by Phil Jones in the box. The Red Devils put forward a decent performance in the second half, but the Blues' rearguard was stoic throughout the contest. United were unable to find the breakthrough, allowing Chelsea to hold out for the crown. Antonio Conte secures his second trophy in English football in his second season in charge at Stamford Bridge. Jose Mourinho's men end the campaign without silverware for the second time in four years.

WIDE! Chelsea leave Sanchez unmarked 25 yards from goal and the Chilean goes for the strike at goal. He gets power behind his shot, although not the accuracy, sending it well wide of the post.
MISS!! POGBA MISSES SITTER! United should be level as Pogba is left unmarked in the middle from Martial's corner. He has time and space in the middle of the box. However, the Frenchman can only guide his effort wide of the post. Agony for the Red Devils.
Martial goes on the charge and tries to break past Azpilicueta, and although the Chelsea man stands his ground, he concedes a corner in the process.
Hazard has space to attempt to twist and turn his way past Smalling, but the United man holds firm to make the challenge to deny the Belgian.

Kante and Hazard break forward for the Blues, but there's not a lot of support and the Belgian's pass to Fabregas is cut out on the edge of the box.

It strikes Young on the arm, but even after a VAR consultation, referee Oliver plays on.

United have been much improved since the break, but Matic wastes a good chance to fire at goal, pulling his effort from distance wide of the post. Not quite of the quality of the Serbian's effort for Chelsea in the semi-finals last season.
Valencia trips Hazard on the charge and goes into the book.
Pogba leads a charge towards the Chelsea box. He goes for the drive at goal, but there's a wall of blue shirts that diverts his shot wide of the target.

Chelsea take a 1-0 lead into the break against Manchester United in the FA Cup final thanks to Eden Hazard's strike from the penalty spot. Hazard calmly slotted his penalty away, which has been the decisive moment in the contest. Moses pulls back Pogba on a give and go down the left flank. It hands United a free-kick in a dangerous position that Sanchez will take.
Chelsea caught United out at the back there and two fine players exposed the Red Devils. Hazard will take the plaudits, but it was Fabregas' flighted ball that caused the issue for Jones.
GOALLLLLLLLLLL!!!! HAZARD CONVERTS!!! Calm as you like from Hazard as he slots his effort into the bottom corner, sending De Gea the wrong way. A composed finish from the Belgian. Chelsea have the lead in the FA Cup final.
It's only a yellow card for Jones, much to the fury of Conte on the bench. However, the United defender did make a genuine attempt to play the ball in his challenge.
PENALTY TO CHELSEA! Hazard latches on to Fabregas' pinpoint ball over the top and takes it in stride perfectly. Jones desperately tries to stop the strike, but brings down the Belgian. Referee Michael Oliver points to the spot.

We're underway at Wembley Stadium.
STAT! Jose Mourinho – winner with Chelsea in 2007 – could become only the third manager to win the FA Cup with two different clubs, after Herbert Chapman (Huddersfield and Arsenal) and Billy Walker (Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest).
STAT! This is the third time these sides have met in the FA Cup final, making it the joint-most played final in the history of the competition (Arsenal vs Liverpool, Arsenal vs Newcastle and Aston Villa vs West Brom also three). Of the previous two, Manchester United won 4-0 in 1994 as part of their first top-flight and FA Cup double, while Chelsea won 1-0 in 2007 in the first final played at the new Wembley Stadium.
United have been up-and-down in recent weeks. Their impressive performances in their wins over Tottenham and Arsenal have been overshadowed by poor displays against Brighton in a 1-0 defeat and a goalless draw with West Ham. They were good enough to see off Watford in the final game of the term, but will need to raise their standards this afternoon.
Chelsea's recent form had been brilliant entering the final week of the Premier League season, reeling off five wins on the bounce. However, their draw against Huddersfield and loss to Newcastle has sent them into the final without momentum.
STAT! This will be Manchester United’s 20th FA Cup final – a joint-record with Arsenal, while only the Gunners (13) have won the trophy more than the Red Devils (12).
United were beaten by Chelsea in the fifth round of the competition last season. However, Mourinho's men have eased their way into the final this term. They overcame Derby, Yeovil, Huddersfield and Brighton without conceding a goal to reach the last four. Tottenham provided a tough test of their credentials as the Red Devils fell behind to a Dele Alli goal, only for Sanchez and Herrera to guide them through to the final.
Chelsea return to the final one year removed from their defeat by Arsenal. The Blues had to overcome a stubborn Norwich side in the third round, needing penalties to see off the Canaries. There were routine wins over Newcastle and Hull, but Leicester provided a tough test in the last eight. However, Pedro's goal sent them through to the last four, where they overcame Southampton by a two-goal margin to advance to the final.
Lukaku starts from the bench as he has not been deemed fit enough by the Portuguese to make his return from injury after suffering his ailment in his side's win over Arsenal in April.
Mourinho went for a changed line-up for his side's final day win over Watford. There are only three survivors from that starting line-up - Rashford, Sanchez and Young. De Gea returns between the sticks, while Valencia, Jones, Smalling, Herrera, Pogba, Matic and Lingard are also recalled.
Conte has made three changes to his side that were beaten on the final day of the Premier League season by Newcastle. Rudiger, Fabregas and Alonso all come into the fold this afternoon.
Manchester United subs: Eric Bailly, Juan Mata, Romelu Lukaku, Anthony Martial, Sergio Romero, Matteo Darmian, Scott McTominay.
MANCHESTER UNITED (4-3-3): David de Gea; Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Ashley Young; Ander Herrera, Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba; Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Alexis Sanchez.
Chelsea subs: Willy Caballero, Ross Barkley, Alvaro Morata, Pedro, David Zappacosta, Willian, Trevoh Chalobah.
CHELSEA (3-5-1-1): Thibaut Courtois; Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill, Antonio Rudiger; Victor Moses, Cesc Fabregas, N'Golo Kante, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Marcos Alonso; Eden Hazard; Olivier Giroud.
The team news has been announced and we'll start with Chelsea.
Mourinho also needs the victory to take something away from an underwhelming campaign where his side were blown away by their nearest rivals. United appeared to be on a collision course with City at the top in the early stages of the season, but could not match their intensity over the course of the term. The season also featured disappointing losses to Bristol City in the EFL Cup and Sevilla in the Champions League.
Antonio Conte is under slightly more pressure than Jose Mourinho to deliver success after missing out on the Champions League for next season. Speculation has surrounded his future at Stamford Bridge, with reports suggesting that it could be his final match in charge of the Blues. The Italian will be determined to sign off on a high note if it is the case.
This is the last chance for silverware in the English domestic season and both of these clubs are in dire need of success after failing to compete with Manchester City in the Premier League and the EFL Cup.
Good afternoon and welcome to the live commentary of the FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester United at Wembley.
