Monnapule Saleng has been lauded by Orlando Pirates fans after a starring performance in the team's 4-1 win over Stellenbosch in the Premier Soccer League game staged at Orlando Stadium on Sunday.

The youngster provided two assists to help Jose Riveiro's charges claim maximum points and renew their bid to finish in the top two to qualify for next season's Caf Champions League.

Bucs faithful believe Saleng and Thembinkosi Lorch - who has returned from injury - will combine well on the attacking front.

Saleng - who received the Man of the Match Award on Sunday - has also been likened to Argentina legend Lionel Messi.
