    #1 David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng: New York to IF Brom

    Kenyan international defender David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng’ signed for Swedish top flight club IF Brommapojkarna on a three-year contract. The 25-year-old moved from America where he was playing second Division football with New York Cosmos. Brommapojkarna booked a ticket to the Swedish top tier league - Allsvenskan after finishing top of the 16-team 2017 Supperretan table. The deal saw ‘Cheche’ join compatriot Eric Johanna, who signed a similar deal in December.

    #2 Erick Johanna: Vasalund to IF Brom

    The Kenyan midfielder joined Swedish top flight club IF Brommapojkarna on a four-year contract. Brommapojkarna booked a ticket to the Swedish top tier, known as Allsvenskan alongside Dalkurd, by finishing top of the 16-team 2017 Supperretan table. Johanna, crowned the Kenyan Premier League Midfielder of the Year in 2016, joined Vasalund on a three-year deal in January from Mathare United where he impressed last season despite the team dropping to the Swedish fourth Division.

    #3 Kenneth Muguna: Gor Mahia to KF Tirana

    The former Western Stima midfielder finally had his players answered after Gor Mahia agreed to terminate his contract and allow him to sign for KF Tirana in Albania. Muguna was in tussle with K’Ogalo to secure the move to Europe and it dragged for some time before he penned a four and half year deal. Tirana, led by former Gor Mahia coach Jose Marcelo Ferreira "Ze Maria", is contesting for a return to Albanian top flight in the 2018/19 season. After suffering relegation for the first time in their history last season, the team has reinforced and is now seven points at the helm of second division’s Group B table with 31 points.

    #4 Musa Mohammed: Gor Mahia to Tirana

    The former Gor Mahia captain Musa Mohammed also followed compatriot Kenneth Muguna to Albania where he penned a two and half year contract with KF Tirana. Mohammed turned down an offer to extend his stay with the Kenyan league champions and instead opted to play abroad. Tirana, led by former Gor Mahia coach Jose Marcelo Ferreira "Ze Maria", is contesting for a return to Albanian top flight in the 2018/19 season. After suffering relegation for the first time in their history last season, the team has reinforced and is now seven points at the helm of second division’s Group B table with 31 points.
