<p>The Dutchman <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/erik-ten-hag-confirms-imminent-talks-ineos-man-utd-s-latest-setback-aston-villa-under-fire-dutchman/blta14a3fbee40619ae" target="_blank">has come under pressure amid his team's rocky start</a> to the 2024-25 season. The Red Devils have just eight points from their first seven matches and have drawn both of their Europa League matches since handing Ten Hag a contract extension in the summer window.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>United's club chiefs met at the headquarters of part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe's company INEOS this week, but they <a href="https://www.goal.com/en/lists/erik-ten-hag-future-remains-unresolved-meeting-ineos-headquarters/blt881a569072f745fe" target="_blank">did not come to a decision regarding Ten Hag's future.</a> He may be given more time to turn things around at Old Trafford, but ex-Red Devils star Saha says that he must fix his team's playing style quickly if he is to have a chance of survival.</p>

THE BIGGER PICTURE

<p>"The problem is that I don’t see any links in the midfield," he told <a href="https://www.paddypower.com/football/english-premier-league" target="_blank"><em>Paddy Power</em></a>. "There’s nothing between Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford for example. These links, when you have more than one or two, mean that those guys don’t need to talk or move – they know each other so well. I don’t see that with United.</p><p>"I think that’s what all the fans are saying – that they don’t see the path. They are finding excuses all the time, and I’m getting frustrated with his communication. He can’t say winning trophies is enough – it's not. You can’t lose all these games and almost accept it – I'm not saying he is accepting it, but he’s almost defending it which is unacceptable.</p><p>"He doesn’t put himself in the firing line – it's mostly his players or injuries, but it’s never his tactics."</p>

WHAT SAHA SAID

<p>United have a brief break due to the international fixtures taking place over the next week and Ten Hag will hope to have his team in better shape for their game against Brentford in the Premier League on October 19.</p>
