A Michael Madoya’s first half strike was just enough to hand the tea farmers their second win in the league. Zoo head coach Ken Okoth has lauded his charges for an excellent display that he hopes will help the team get confidence after a poor start.
“Well, Rangers paid the price of underrating us. They came knowing they will get maximum points, but we gave a good account of ourselves on the pitch, and ended up getting what we needed, three points! We deserved the win because of the way we played.
“It is definitely going to be a motivation for us, as we prepare to play in our next match,” Okoth told Goal.
Prior to Sunday's defeat, Zoo Kericho had fallen by two goals against Wazito.
