Yakou Meite charges Reading ahead of ‘big games’ with Birmingham and Swansea

Yakou Meite has urged Reading focus on claiming positive results in their upcoming English Championship games against Birmingham City and Swansea City.

On Tuesday night, the Royals travel to St. Andrew's Stadium to take on Garry Monk’s men before another away game with the Swans on Saturday.

The forward scored his first league goals of the season in their 3-1 win over Millwall last weekend to help Paul Clement’s men return to winning ways after back-to-back defeats to Queens Park Rangers and West Bromwich Albion.

And ahead of their tie with the Blues and Graham Potter’s side, the Ivorian is confident that the performance against the Den will motivate them in both outings.

“It’s always good to get a win on the board before we play away because we’ve got two big away games coming up,” Meite told club website.

“Now is all about staying focused though. We have two big games coming up against Birmingham and Swansea, and we can’t get carried away.”

Reading are 19th in the league log with 12 points from 13 games and victory against Birmingham and Swansea will see an improvement in their standing.
