Western Stima admits to gambling squad against Bandari

Coach Henry Omino has admitted that Western Stima took a gamble in the 0-0 draw against Bandari on Sunday.

The power men are struggling in the league this season having lost a number of key players and coach Omino believes that he gambled by making seven changes to the squad that battled against Bandari in Mombasa. “We changed the squad completely. In fact, there were seven new players in the starting lineup so you can imagine the setup and the gamble we took.

"We collected a point from the game and that now gives me a lot of confidence as a coach. If we can be able to train together more, and have the players understand each other well then we can turn around the team’s fortunes," Omino told KPL official website.

Western Stima are now lying second from the bottom and must start winning matches if they hope to survive relegation.
