After making a false start in Ghana, the defender believes her side will claim a win against the Shepolopolo to revive their World Cup dreams

Nigeria defender Osinachi Ohale is not deterred by her side's setback following their 1-0 opening defeat to South Africa in the ongoing Africa Women Cup of Nations.

Super-sub Thembi Kgatlana scored late for Banyana Banyana to condemn the defending champions to a losing start at the Cape Coast Stadium.

On Wednesday, the reigning African queens will face the Shepolopolo, who they trashed 6-0 in the group stage at Namibia 2014 in second Group B game at the same venue.

And the Sweden-based defender, who was among the scorers in their last meeting in 2014, has assured that they will fight with everything in them to claim the maximum points.

“The defeat against South Africa was a difficult result because we never expected it, but it happened the way it happened and we have learnt a lot from it," Ohale told media.

"We are working very hard and ready to fight with everything within us to win {on Wednesday]. We know that tomorrow’s match is a very crucial one, we have corrected our mistakes from the last match.

"We are going to put everything we learned in training on the pitch on Wednesday in order to get a positive result. We cannot say because we have been to world cup 100 times, we won’t give our best to qualify again.

"We are well motivated and this is our career, so we are here to give in our best and we will deliver [on Wednesday]. I want to urge our fans in Nigeria and all over the world to continue to believe in us because we have never disappointed before and won’t do now."
