WATCH: Player lasts three minutes before red card

Sometimes it’s easy to tell it’s not going to be your night.

That’s exactly what happened to Eastern FC in its AFC Champions League clash with Guangzhou Evergrande of the Chinese Super League when defender Wong Tsz-ho was sent off just three minutes into the contest for a handball on the end line.

It was a good effort to conceal it though, with the defender making an effort to make it look like it was a header off the line. But the referee wasn’t buying it, awarding the penalty and the red card.

Ricardo Goulat buried the penalty to put the Hong Kong side down 1-0.

Unfortunately, the night got much worse for Eastern from that point on, as they fell 7-0 in the group stage contest.
