Five of the six players brought in by Bruce Arena for the knockout rounds of the Gold Cup have been named in the starting side for the quarterfinal against El Salvador.
Clint Dempsey and Jozy Altidore get the start up front, with Darlington Nagbe and Michael Bradley inserted into the midfield and Tim Howard manning the goal.
Justin Morrow and Eric Lichaj have been named as the starting fullbacks, with Omar Gonzalez and Matt Hedges in the center of the back line.
Gyasi Zardes and Paul Arriola round out the group, playing on the wings outside of Bradley and Nagbe.
The only player called in for the knockouts not to make the starting side is goalkeeper Jesse Gonzalez.
