Masuta signed for the soldiers from Nzoia Sugar to link up with former teammate, Waweru, who ushered in their re-union with an assist for his debut goal.
Waweru said that the striker’s assassin instinct and movement make it easy for midfielders to spot him upfront, a factor he believes will be crucial for the team this season.
“I always work to provide the best chances for my teammates and from the opening game, we had a very good understanding. He had good runs and he is a proven finisher so it makes work easier, not just for me but for all midfielders in the team," Waweru told the club website.
“I have an advantage of having known him before from our days at Muhoroni Youth and depending on what instructions the coach issues, we can make it work for the team.”
Waweru also inked his name on the scoresheet to cup a fine afternoon for Ulinzi Stars, who kicked-off the season with maximum points.
