Ulinzi Stars name squad for Caf assignment

Ulinzi Stars have named a strong squad for their Caf Confederation Cup contest against Smouha of Egypt on Friday.

According to a list obtained by Goal, 18 players will board the plane to Alexandria, Egypt plus seven officials. Major Joe Birgen will lead the soldiers as Head of Delegation with Benjamin Nyangweso traveling as head coach.

Conspicuously missing from the squad is striker John Makwatta, who Goal revealed earlier that was heading for Slovakia to sign a contract with a top division club. Ulinzi Stars will be seeking to make it to the second round of the competition after eliminating Al Hilal Benghazi of Libya on penalties.
