Ulinzi Stars goalkeeper Jacktone Odhiambo suspended for Wazito clash

Nyaudo has limited choice in the department with only skipper James Saruni and Timothy Odhiambo to depend on

Ulinzi Stars goalkeeper Jacktone Odhiambo is set to miss the Soldiers' home game against Wazito FC on Sunday.

Odhiambo picked a red card in the last league match against Nakumatt FC and thus will not travel to Kericho for the KPL round of 30 matches.

While the keeper is ineligible to play, head coach Dunstan Nyaudo has noted that the custodian will still play a crucial role in the team’s preparations for Sunday's fixture at the Kericho Green Stadium.

Nyaudo has limited choice in the department with only skipper James Saruni and Timothy Odhiambo to depend on. “Jackton is suspended, which is a blow to us because at this point of the season you want to have all your options available.

“Though he is suspended, we will still have him in the team because I want to use his experience as the goalkeeper trainer in the week. He is thus part of my plans for the coming game,” Nyaudo told ulinzistarsfc.com.

The team resumed training on Monday, September 10, after taking a week off in line with the international break.
