                  MIDFIELDER EDWARD SEDA RE-JOINS AFC LEOPARDS

Edward Seda has completed a move to AFC Leopards from Mathare United.

The speedy and talented midfielder became the third signing for Ingwe after penning a three-year deal with Rodolfo Zapata side. Seda became the third signing for AFC Leopards, who also signed Eugene Mukangula and Saad Musa, both from Thika United.

Seda’s acquisition will add the needed firepower in Ingwe’s forward and he is expected to link up with Whyvonee Isuza in the midfield.

Seda became the fourth players to have left Mathare United after Wycliffe Kasaya, who joined Sofapaka and Elija Mwanzia, who moved to Ulinzi Stars.

The 'Slum Boys' also released Derrick Onyango, and Gilbert Osonga on Monday.

                  AFC LEOPARDS SIGN MIDFIELDER FROM THIKA UNITED

AFC Leopards have signed Eugene Mukangula from Thika United.

Ingwe lured the midfielder with a three-year deal away from a cash-strapped Thika United that is in the process of rebranding to Mount Kenya United.

“We are pleased to announce the signing of winger Eugene Mukangula,” Ingwe announced in a post on the club’s facebook account.

Mukangula played his last match for Thika United in a 3-0 defeat by Sofapaka at the Narok Stadium on Sunday. Ingwe finally got their wish when Mukangula accepted to move to the Den after he turned down a similar opportunity some time back.

He will link up with former teammate Saad Musa, who also joined Ingwe early in the transfer window.

Rodolfo Zapata is seeking to strengthen his attacking line that has over-relied on Ezekiel Odera and Whyvonne Isuza for goals.

                 ULINZI STARS SIGN FORMER MATHARE UNITED STRIKER

Elijah Mwanzia joins Ulinzi Stars from Mathare United.Goal Kenya.

Ulinzi Stars have acquired the services of former Mathare United striker Elijah Mwanzia.

Mwanzia was released by the 'Slum Boys' alongside Derrick Onyango, Gilbert Osonga on Monday.

The 24-year-old forward is expected to walk into Ulinzi Stars senior squad right away and help sort out the striking department that has been firing blanks of late.

The forward is the second player to join Ulinzi Stars from the 2008 champions in recent times, after Elvis Nandwa who crossed over in 2013.

                 SOFAPAKA SIGN WYCLIFFE KASAYA AND PISTONE MUTAMBA

Sofapaka have completed a double deal for Wazito FC striker Pistone Mutamba and goalkeeper Wycliffe Kasaya.

Batoto Ba Mungu have lured Mutamba from the newly promoted side Wazito with a two-year deal while Kasaya signed a one-year contract from Mathare United.

Sofapaka, who had set their eyes on winning their first KPL title since 2009, are still in the market for two more players.

“Kasaya will act as a cover for Mathias Kigonya but we are still looking for a defender and a midfielder,” coach John Baraza told Goal.

Sofapaka are currently joint second on the log with 28 points, same as Ulinzi Stars, who enjoy a superior goal difference.

                AFC LEOPARDS APPROACH EX-TUSKER STAR EUGINE ASIKE

AFC Leopards is holding talks with former Tusker FC defender Eugine Asike with hopes of sealing a move.

The ex-Sofapaka man has been a rock at the back of the eleven-time league champions before his shock exit this month, after his contract expired. A source privy to happenings at The Den has told Goal that the player is open to joining Ingwe, but his financial demands have to be met.

“Yes, it is true we are interested in signing him, he is a proven winner who will add quality to our team as well as stability at the back. He is willing to join the club, but that will be confirmed once both parties agree on sign on fee as well as salary.”

This comes just a day after the club announced the capture of Thika United forward Eugine Mukangula on a three-year contract. 

                MURURI MOVES TO VIHIGA UNITED AFTER DITCHING HOMEBOYZ

Former Kakamega Homeboyz coach Mike Mururi has been confirmed as Vihiga United assistant coach.

The tactician quit his position after the conclusion of the first leg, with Paul Nkata taking his position few days later. Goal understands Mururi has been given a two-year contract with a promise of taking over the reins if current coach Edward Manoa fails to meet set objectives.

The promoted side is currently placed in the 12th position with 18 points after winning four games, drawn six and lost seven.

Reports have it that the team is on the verge of completing the transfer of striker Morven Otinya from Sofapaka.

                SOFAPAKA DEFENDER SIGNS FOR VIHIGA UNITED

Sofapaka defender Vitalis Akumu has signed for Vihiga United after leaving the club.

Akumu, who has never started any match for Sofapaka since joining the team, has been below Moussa Omar, Rodgers Aloro, Willis Ouma, Yusuf Mohammed, Humphrey Okoti and Kevin Oduor in the pecking order, hence limited chances of a starting place.

“Akumu requested if he could leave the team to join Vihiga United where he can get more playing time and we granted him his wish. So that means I will be going for a defender to replace him when the transfer window opens,” Sofapaka coach John Baraza told Goal on Wednesday.

                AFC LEOPARDS MAKE IMPROVED BID FOR KPL TOP SCORER

AFC Leopards have reportedly returned with a second bid to sign Nzoia Sugar striker Elvis Rupia.

Ingwe are understood to have approached Rupia, one of the most sought-after players in Kenya currently, with an improved deal as they seek to secure the services of the KPL leading scorer.

Rupia has scored 15 league goals for Nzoia Sugar, just two shy of the 2017 total tally by the Golden Boot winner, Masoud Juma.

According to sources within the club, AFC Leopards called up a meeting with Rupia to convince him to switch allegiance.

The meeting could also throw into doubt a possible move to Zambian side Power Dynamos, who are also interested in his signature, though they are yet to make a formal offer.

Goal now understands that Ingwe can convince the free-scoring striker to cross over to The Den.

AFC Leopards have already signed two players among them Eugene Mukangula and Saad Musa, both from Thika United.

Goal understands the former Nairobi City Stars player will pen a two-year contract to join The Den. Meanwhile, Vihiga United have sealed the signing of Philip Muchuma from Chemelil Sugar.

The striker has penned a two-year deal at Vihiga after ditching the sugar millers. Chemelil have confirmed the acquisition of Gideon Kibet on a four-year deal from Zoo Kericho.

Another player, who has signed for Chemelil Sugar ios Zeka Wakoli from National Super League side GFE 105. Wakoli will be at the club until December 31, 2019.

Vihiga United have also signed Robert Ogot from Ombek Red Devil FC.

                SONY SUGAR BEEFS UP SQUAD WITH TEN SIGNINGS

Former Chemelil Sugar goalkeeper John Waw has joined Sony Sugar.

Waw is among the 10 new faces that have crossed to the struggling side. Others are Waw’s former teammate Collins Neto, former Sofapaka’s Meshack Karani and Robert Ouma.

Sony have also acquired Ambrose Ayoyi, Kennedy Odhiambo, Maxwell Onyango, Michael Apudo, Robert Mudenyu and Salmon Otieno.

The inclusion of the 10 is expected to bolder Sony’s fight to avoid relegation in the second leg.

Sony Sugar are currently bottom of the table with only 14 points from 17 matches.

                VIHIGA UNITED SIGN PHILIPM MUCHUMA FROM CHEMELIL
