Sports Stadia have vowed to punish the team whose fans vandalized seats during the derby on Saturday.

The league match was stopped for seven minutes after AFC Leopards fans protested at the second goal scored by their rivals Gor Mahia at Kasarani Stadium.

Gor Mahia went on to win the match 2-0 and claim a record 17th Kenyan league title.

Sports Stadia PRO Rakki Assman has revealed to Goal that they will definitely act on the incident. “Yes, I witnessed everything and drastic action will definitely be taken. We are still assessing and they have to pay for the damages...even a ban might apply.”

Both Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards have in the past been banned from using the venue.
