Despite not playing a game in the recent international break, the Socceroos have risen one place in the latest FIFA world rankings to 41st.
With the Olyroos in action during the international window and Socceroos coach Graham Arnold overseeing them, the green and gold were kept on ice in March.
Australia's next match is now expected to be played away in June against Korea Republic before World Cup qualifying kicks off later in the year.
In the women's rankings, which were updated late in March, the Matildas remain sixth but are now just three points behind fifth-placed Canada.
The USA remains top with Germany and England behind them.
