Robert Matano: Why Tusker pumped in four goals past AFC Leopards

Goals from Sydney Ochieng, Marlon Tangauzi, Boniface Muchiri and Jackson Macharia were enough to lift the brewers

Tusker FC coach Robert Matano has revealed what he did to ensure the brewers collect maximum points against AFC Leopards.

The two sides met on Wednesday at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos, and it was the visitors, who claimed a 4-0 win. The tactician has also expressed his satisfaction regarding the display put up by his charges.

“We did everything according to plan, we did everything right from the first whistle. We knew they, AFC Leopards, would want to hit us early following their defeat to Sofapaka, so for about twenty minutes we laid back and hit them on counter attacks. We had to cool them first and the tactic worked for us.

“I can say my team has improved a lot, you can tell from the way we worked for that win,” Matano told Goal.

Tusker is now on 50 points, one behind AFC Leopards.
