Posta Rangers hold urgent meeting to plot Sony Sugar's downfall

Joseph Nyaga has been ruled out as Posta Rangers prepare to take on a resurgent Sony Sugar in a crunch match on Sunday.

Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo will host the Millers at the Ruaraka Ground in what he has described as a ‘final’ with just two games remaining until the end of the season.

And with a place in the top tier nest season still not guaranteed, Omollo has been forced to call an impromptu meeting where he stressed the significance of three points against Sony Sugar.

“I spoke with the players today and told them that we need the win. This is like like a final to us because Sony Sugar is a strong side and they have been having a good season,” Omollo told Goal.

Posta Rangers, who are 14th on the log and just two points ahead of Chemelil Sugar and Nakumatt, both teams still in the battle to avoid playoff berth, ‘Pamzo’ must pull off a miracle in the next two games to avoid the long route to surviving the chop.

Rangers will also miss the services of suspended Kennedy Onyango, who is serving a two-match suspension even though Jerry Santos is also a doubt.

“I will have to wait until Sunday to see if he (Jerry) can be included in the matchday plan.”
