The Johannesburg-born forward could complete a switch to the NFD as he hopes to revive his career with Ezenkosi

Orlando Pirates striker Ayanda Nkosi is training with Jomo Cosmos in an aim to revive his football career.

The former Free State Stars hitman is now looking for regular game time and looks set to join the National First Division (NFD) side on loan.

Since joining the Buccaneers from Ea Lla Koto two seasons ago, Nkosi has struggled for game time with the Soweto giants, although he hoped to become a regular feature in their attack.

According to the Johannesburg-based NFD outfit, the 25-year-old forward has impressed in training and is now hoping to land a contract with the club led by Jomo Sono.

“In a bid to boost its attacking force in the new season kicking off this weekend, Jomo Cosmos are considering a loan deal for Orlando Pirates striker, Ayanda Nkosi,” a statement issued by Cosmos read.

“The 25-year-old had been training with the team all week and looks set to be registered after impressing Ezenkosi’s technical crew,” added the club.

“Nkosi previously played for Maritzburg United and Free State Stars,” concluded the statement.

On the other hand, Cosmos are set to open their 2018/19 NFD campaign against Ajax Cape Town on Sunday in their quest to regain promotion back to the top flight.
