Great Olympics striker Abel Manomey has confirmed he will miss the remainder of the Ghana Premier League campaign after a successful surgery on his right leg.
The 26-year-old, who has scored five goals this season, suffered the injury during preparations against Wa All Stars, going under the knife at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.
“I underwent a successful surgery on Thursday at the 37 military hospital. The surgery will take me between two and three months before I can come back to begin training," Manomey told Ghanacrusader.com.
"I broke my tibia and fibula bone around my shin area and this happened when we were playing a training game prior to Wa All Stars game.
"Dr. Baba Adams and Lt. Col. Gbireh were the two orthopedics who conducted the surgery but I am responding to treatment now at the hospital and hope to have a successful recovery,” he added.
