NFF announces dates and venues for 2018 Federation Cup finals

The 2018 Men and Women’s Federation Cup grand finales will hold on October 23 and 24, 2018 respectively, the Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed.

With the national competition through to the semi-final stages, arrangements are already being concluded for the grand finale of scheduled for Yenagoa and Asaba respectively.

NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi confirmed that the women’s competition final will hold at the Samson Siasia Stadium, Yenagoa on Tuesday, while the men will be played the Stephen Keshi Stadium 24 hours later.

In the men’s category, Enugu Rangers, Katsina United, Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United are in the last four, with finalists of the country’s oldest football competition to emerge on Wednesday.

With holders Akwa United out of the competition, a new champion is expected to emerge and the eventual winner will be the country’s sole representative in the 2019 Caf Confederation Cup.

While the Nigeria Women Premier League quartet of Rivers Angels, Edo Queens, Ibom Angels and Bayelsa Queens will be challenging for a spot in the final of this year’s edition.
