The draw means that debutants Wazito are yet to taste defeat this season

Nakumatt and Wazito FC took full advantage of the absence of Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards to grab headlines on match day-three held on Saturday.

The Shoppers were the only team to have registered a win on the day that saw Mathare United move back to the summit following a 0-0 draw against Ulinzi Stars at Afraha Stadium.

The 1-0 win against Nzoia Sugar at Sudi Stadium was Nakumatt's first this season on the day that was characterized by draws.

Former Kariobangi Sharks forward, Brian Nyakan took his tally to two for Nakumatt after hitting home the solo goal in the 57th minute.

Away in Chemelil, the host came from a goal down to hold 2017 second runners up Kariobangi Sharks in a 1-1 draw while Wazito held Kakamega Homeboyz to a stalemate at Camp Toyoyo.

The draw means that Wazito, who gained promotion to the top tier last season, alongside Vihiga United, are yet to taste defeat this season.

Wazito kicked-off their campaign with a 1-0 win over former champions, Sony Sugar.

Three matches will be played on Sunday with Vihiga United hosting Posta Rangers, Sony Sugar welcoming Zoo FC while Thika United will battle Bandari at the Thika-Sub County Stadium.
