Musa Mohammed: Kenya stand a good chance of reach 2019 Afcon finals

Harambee Stars stand in captain Musa Mohammed says that Kenya can qualify for the 2019 African Cup of Nations finals.

The Group F was thrown wide open after Ethiopia registered a carbon copy result against Sierra Leone to that of Kenya, who beat Ghana 1-0 in Nairobi.

Musa, who captained the team to a historic win despite Stars playing the better part of the second half with a man down, now says that it is an open race for all in the 'Road to Cameroon'.

“It is now an open group,” Musa said of the Group F that leaves Ghana, Kenya, Sierra Leone and Ethiopia all on three points.

The former Gor Mahia captain has called for self-assurance from Stars' players further advising that Kenya should pick all the six points at home.

“Our hope is that in the next two matches we can get maximum points. We have to believe in ourselves because there are no underdogs or favorites these days.”

Kenya are second behind leaders Ghana followed by Sierra Leone with Ethiopia fourth due to inferior goal difference.
