Nakumatt coach Melis Medo has insisted that he is very happy at the club despite reports linking him with a move to AFC Leopards.
Medo described AFC Leopards as an ‘ambitious’ club amidst speculations that the American could be heading to The Den.
Ingwe are currently in the market for a new coach after parting ways with Rodolfo Zapata and Medo has come out as a strong candidate to replace the Argentine.
“It is humbling to hear that I am linked with them because AFC Leopards is a big club in Kenyan and it shows that they are ambitious and want to win trophies."
While Medo wasn’t candid in his response when asked whether he might consider the offer, the American, who had a positive start with Nakumatt before the team hit a plateau midway through, insists that no contact has been made yet between him and the former Kenyan Premier League champions.
“But there is no contact yet. Nobody has approached me so. I have not heard from them,” Medo told Goal.
Medo took over the full job at Nakumatt from Anthony Mwangi in June, after six games under Mwangi. Nakumatt are currently 17th on the log with 37 points.
