After the heavy 4-1 defeated from Algeria, Taifa Stars head coach Salum Mayanga has moved to apologize to fans for the bad results.

This is the second time for the Tanzania National team to lose against Algeria which ranked 60th by FIFA as per current is ranking while Tanzania sits at 146th position.

Speaking to Goal, Mayanga said that the results have hurt every member of the team but they are prepared to make sure they win their next match against DR Congo and bring back a smile back to the Tanzania fans.

“I want to say sorry to all Tanzanian fans, I know the results have hurt many of them but we have learned something from our opponents, we are planning to make sure we play better and win our next game against  DR Congo on Tuesday,” said Mayanga.

The result have drawn a wide spread panic from football stakeholders with some of them asking the TFF to part ways with Mayanga and bring a new head coach from abroad.
