Mathare United winger Cliff Nyakeya is eager to end his four-match goal drought against Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday.
Mathare will square it against Sharks at the Camp Toyoyo in the supremacy battle of the Slum and Nyakeya who is yet to score against the 2017 debutantes is looking forward to end his duck having last scored on April 4th in a 3-2 victory over Nakumatt at the Ruaraka Grounds.
“I have not scored in a while and this is a concern. It usually affects you mentally when you go for some matches without scoring but I am positive. I have been getting in those positions so I hope I will be lucky tomorrow,” Nyakeya, the clubs second best scorer told Mathare United website.
But with history working against Mathare United who are yet to win a league match at Camp Toyoyo, Nyakey will have to work extra hard to help the ‘Slum Boys’ force a vfirst victory against Sharks.
“We have not won at Toyoyo but we were clearly the better team in the two matches that we lost there. This is a different game and of course the approach will be different. We want to break that jinx,” he added.

“We showed a lot of mental strength against Gor Mahia last weekend and if we carry that into this game then we stand a big chance,” pointed out Nyakeya whi has five goals to his credit.
Victory for Francis Kimanzi boys will take them level on 27 points with league leaders Gor Mahia.
“We have to keep Gor Mahia under pressure once an opportunity comes up. We have to make them feel there is competition. This is an important game for us and we are looking at collecting three points,” offered the youngster.
Mather United are second on the log with 24 points.
