Higuain wants to end career at Juve

Gonzalo Higuain is hoping to return to Italy and play for parent club Juventus next season, according to the Mirror.

The striker spent the season on loan with AC Milan and then Chelsea, but is hoping to play a part for the Serie A champions next term.

The 31-year-old scored five times in 18 appearances for Chelsea, and netted eight goals in 22 games with Milan.

Lazio want €50m for Strakosha

Lazio have told Arsenal and Tottenham they will need to pay €50m (£44.5m/$56m) to sign Thomas Strakosha, according to football.london.

The Albanian goalkeeper made 44 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A outfit, keeping 13 clean sheets.

That hefty asking price is likely to deter interest from both London clubs, however, who have more pressing areas to strengthen.

Dortmund want Hummels back

Borussia Dortmund are hoping to bring Mats Hummels back to the club in a shock move this summer, according to Bild.

The Bayern Munich centre-half joined from Dortmund in 2016, but could be set for a surprise return, with Niko Kovac open to selling him.

Arsenal close to Edu appointment

The Gunners lost Sven Mislintat mid-season and this summer's transfer dealings have been moving slowly in his absence.

Edu is currently the nation team coordinator with the Brazilian football federation, and will link up with his former club following the Copa America.

Ajax are looking for just over £30m (€34m/$38m) for attacking midfielder Hakim Ziyech, according to the Mirror.

Liverpool and Arsenal, in particular, have been heavily linked with the Moroccan after his stellar performances for the Eredivisie side en route to the Champions League semi-finals.

He scored 21 goals and registered 24 assists in all competitions and was rumoured to have a £25m (€28m/$31m) release clause, but that appears not to be the case.

Leverkusen land PSG's Diaby

Bayer Leverkusen have confirmed the signing of young striker Moussa Diaby from Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Diaby made 34 appearances across all competitions last season for Thomas Tuchel's side, scoring four times and registering seven assists.

But the France Under-20 forward has now completed a switch to Germany, with Leverkusen signing the 19-year-old for a reported fee of €15m (£13m/$17m).

Liverpool given Werner boost

Bayern Munich have cooled their interest in RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner, opening the door for Liverpool to capture the German international, says The Mirror.

The Bundesliga champions were thought to have been in pole position to snap up Werner, but have switched their focus to Manchester City's Leroy Sane according to the paper.

Leipzig value the forward at around £50m ($63m) which may discourage both clubs.

Celtic call out Turnbull and his agent

Celtic have confirmed they've reached an agreement with Motherwell to sign David Turnbull for a club-record fee.

The Scottish champions contend the deal is being held-up by the player and his representatives, despite the 'magnificent offer' they have made regarding personal terms.

Celtic say they are content with their offer and await a decision, 'If not, we move on' they said on Twitter.

 

Leonardo returns to PSG

Cabaye to return to Europe

France international midfielder Yohan Cabaye could be on the verge of a return to European football after a spell in the UAE.

The former Newcastle, PSG and Crystal Palace man is attracting interest in Germany according to L'Equipe.

The paper reports that Schalke and another unnamed German club, plus several Ligue 1 teams could be in for the midfielder, who has been without a club since January.

Arsenal make new Perisic approach

The Gunners were interested in the winger in January but a deal never materialised.

Championship clubs circle over Morrison

The Championship trio would welcome the addition of the midfielder as he leaves West Brom after his contract there was not extended.

Man City sign 14-year-old Bolton striker

The club wants more proven options behind Jordi Alba and Luis Suarez after this season's experiments with academy players and Kevin Prince-Boateng did not work out.

Jurgen Klopp would be willing to sacrifice Mohamed Salah if it meant landing Lille forward Nicolas Pepe, according to le10sport.

Pepe has been subject of a transfer offer from Liverpool, but has yet to convince Lille, who also have two other offers for the forward.

However, Klopp wants the player and due to an increasingly complicated relationship with Salah, would be willing to see the Egyptian sold if it allows the Reds to land Pepe. 

Man City put off by £90m Maguire price tag

Leicester City have demanded £90 million ($114m) for Harry Maguire, which has put off suitors Manchester City, according to the Daily Mail.

City boss Pep Guardiola views Maguire as a replacement for departing Vincent Kompany but the Foxes do not want to lose one of their star players and have him locked up on a multi-year deal.

Manchester United are also interested in Maguire, but do not want to pay a world-record fee for him.

Chelsea and Juventus reach deal over Sarri

The two clubs have reached agreed on a compensation package for the Italian manager

Chelsea and Juventus have reached a deal to allow Maurizio Sarri to become the next head coach of the Serie A champions, according to Sky Italy.

The current Blues boss has reportedly had a deal to take over Juve for a few weeks, but the clubs were negotiating a compensation package to allow Sarri to depart for Turin.

With that deal done, the path is now open for Frank Lampard to take Sarri's place at Chelsea, though no approach from the Blues to Villa has been made yet.
