Politano was close to joining Roma but the deal collapsed at the last minute, complicating Inter's deal with Giroud. The Serie A side are ready to pay €4.5 million to sign the French striker from Chelsea, while Giroud will sign a two-and-a-half-year deal with the San Siro side.
