Daniel Podence has signed a new contract with Olympiakos after reported interest from clubs in La Liga and the Premier League. Monchengladbach reportedly want a club-record fee for the 22-year-old, who they value at over £43m (€50m). Phil Parkinson has been announced as the new Sunderland manager, following the departure of Jack Ross earlier this month. Parkinson led Bradford City to the League Cup final in 2013 and led Bolton Wanderers to promotion from League One to the Championship in 2017. He resigned as Bolton manager in August owing to their severe financial struggles. In a statement on the Sunderland website, Parkinson said: “It is both a privilege and immense responsibility to be appointed manager of this great club. Former Germany and USMNT manager Jurgen Klinsmann is poised to be announced as Ecuador's new national team coach.&nbsp; <a href="https://twitter.com/JuanG_Arango/status/1184570440687194115" target="_blank">Multiple reports</a> suggest Klinsmann will be appointed imminently with the Ecuadorian Football Federation <a href="https://aficioncentral.com/noticias/futbol-ecuatoriano/egas-confirma-que-ecuador-ya-tiene-nuevo-seleccionador-video/11076/" target="_blank">recently confirming an agreement with their new coach has&nbsp;been struck</a>.&nbsp; Along with Klinsmann,&nbsp;Fernando Hierro, Gianni De Biasi, Santiago Solari and Nestor Pekerman were all also believed to be in the running for the job.
