Nigeria defender William Troost-Ekong has warned that Libya will be tough to play when they meet in an African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

The Mediterranean Knights are leading group E with four points after thumping Seychelles 5-1 and forcing South Africa to a goalless draw in Durban.

And, although, the Udinese new recruit acknowledged that the Super Eagles, one of the best in Africa, will face a difficult game against Omar Al-Marime’s side, he is confident that they will prepare to clinch the maximum points.

"It will be very tough, but we are one of the best teams in Africa now, and any opponent will bring their A game to face us," Troost-Ekong told Kwese Espn.

"We will prepare the same way as we did for the double-header against Cameroon last year, as this is of the same importance."

The first leg of the clash take place on Saturday at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium while the second leg is scheduled for Tunisia, the new home of Libya.

Troost-Ekong will be making a return to the side since the 2018 World Cup in Russia, having missed their 3-0 victory over Seychelles last month.
