The La Liga side have snapped up the attacker for the next four seasons

Spanish club Levante have announced the acquisition of Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Boateng from Portuguese side Moreirense.

The 21-year-old joins the newly-promoted La Liga outfit on a four-year-deal after a fine form in the Portuguese topflight.

"Emmanuel Boateng commits to Levante for the next four seasons with an option of a further renewal by the agreement reached between Levant and Moreirense FC," the club said on Wednesday.

"He can act as an offensive player although he can also play in other positions in the front.

"He was with the team of the city of Guimaraes as they won the Cup of Portugal last campaign.

"The player will be presented on Thursday at 17 hours at the Ciutat de Valencia Stadium."

From Ghana, Boateng joined Rio Ave in 2013, making his professional debut in a Super Cup clash against Benfica the following year.

He then joined Moreirense in 2015, scoring nine goals in 55 league outings. He has made two appearances in the topflight this season.

Uncapped at senior level, the Accra-born represented Ghana at the 2015 Fifa Under-20 World Cup in New Zealand.
