Reported Arsenal target Yann Karamoh’s exit from Caen is being held up by his lawyer.
The 18-year-old, who has been likened to Kylian Mbappe, has been heavily linked with both the Gunners and Southampton in recent weeks, as well as Red Bull Leipzig and Wolfsburg.
However, it appears that his legal representative is currently holding up any transfer.
The player’s contract expires in 2018, meaning that clubs will be able to negotiate a free transfer in January, with Karamoh’s lawyer keen to receive a large signing-on bonus.
Caen have accepted an offer from an unnamed club, but his lawyer has an agreement with both Saint-Etienne and Red Bull Leipzig, with the player set to choose between both in January.
The French club would, however, rather sell the teenager now, and have privately warned the player that he will not play this season if he stays.
