The 2018-2019 Kenyan Premier League season will kick-off on December 8.
The current season is set to conclude on Sunday, with a total of nine matches being played across the country. KPL CEO Jack Oguda has revealed to Goal that the upcoming season will now kick-off on December 8.
“The new season will kick-off on December 8 as we strive to align our calendar with that of Europe. We will also have the curtain raiser pitting FKF Shield Cup winners and the league winners on December 2.”
But before the league kick-offs, there will be a curtain raiser, to be played on December 2 between the FKF Shield Cup winners and league champions Gor Mahia. The FKF Shield winners will be determined on October 20 when Kariobangi Sharks takes on Sofapaka in the final at Kasarani.
